Exhibition “Personal - Portraits of War Victims” of Bosnian-Herzegovinian photographer Velija Hasanbegović was opened in the Art Gallery of the International University of Sarajevo on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.
The exhibition consists of 20 large format black and white photographs, and it will be open for visitors until December 20, 2017.
On Tuesday, May 8, 2017, at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) Art Gallery, Behance design and illustration exhibition was held where visitors could live votes to the best works.
This exhibition was a collective project of the Department of Arts, in which students and teaching staff of the VACD took active part.
Department of Arts in cooperation with the International Festival Sarajevo Winter 2017 organized Poster Competition for the best visual identity of this year’s motto: "Silk Road Art". The VACD students of Graphic Design, Illustration and Communication, Studio Project, Typography and Infographic Design sent their works, as well as highly reputable designers from the country and region.
Jury consisted of the academics of the Department of Arts: Amer Mrzljak, M. Furkan Hızır, Branko Vekić, Roman Sulejmanpasić and Lejla Panjeta. President of the Jury was Emri Hambo.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition of info graphics took place on Wednesday 24th of February 2016 at 10:30 am in the art gallery of International University of Sarajevo, as a part of activities of CREDU group which Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lejla Panjeta founded. The exhibition ‘Theory of film and visual arts’ opened with short documentary film called “Disney’s Dark Kingdom” which talks about the creator of the fairytales of our generation in a controversial way. Info graphics from theory of film and visual arts originated towards researches and published works of professor Panjeta. The main designer is Zlata Delić.
The Exhibition titled ‘’VACD Beyond the Surface’’ was opened on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the IUS Art Gallery. The Exhibition was organized by the students of the VACD MA program of the Faculty Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). Students Zlata Delić, Bedriye Fank, Haris Heljo and Emir Hambo had the opportunity to present within the course “Project Studio 1”, the visual segment of their study titled ''Beyond the Surface“, under the supervision of Prof. Kenan Zekić. This Exhibition is part of the process of instruction and final exams in the winter semester.
Opening of the exhibition titled “Creative Responses to Samuel Beckett’s writing” was held in the IUS Art Gallery, on Thursday, January 15, 2015. The exhibition is based on lectures from MA course, Comparative Studies in Drama, which explored the drama for stage, television and radio, fiction and film of Samuel Beckett. Photos, pictures and written pieces in the exhibition are creative responses of students and lecturers on topics and ideas that are primarily focused on Beckett's creative imagination.
