Celebrating International World Art Day: IUS Hosts Joint Exhibition with Haci Bayram Veli University
In honor of International World Art Day, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), in collaboration with the Fine Arts Faculty of Haci Bayram Veli University from Ankara, Turkey, hosted the opening of a captivating collective exhibition featuring approximately 50 works of art created by professors and students from both institutions. The exhibition took place at the IUS Art Gallery, showcasing a diverse array of artistic expressions and cultural perspectives.
Assistant Professor Emir Hambo, the Program Coordinator of the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design study program at IUS, spoke enthusiastically about the event, highlighting its significance as a celebration of creativity, expression, and the profound impact of art on our lives. He emphasized the power of collaboration and cultural exchange exemplified by this joint exhibition, underscoring the value of bringing together artists from different backgrounds and traditions.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kürşat Göktürk represented Haci Bayram Veli University at the event, emphasizing the universal language of art that unites people and reflects deep emotions, histories, and cultures. He expressed admiration for the exhibited works, which vividly illustrate the richness and diversity of Bosnian and Turkish artistic heritage.
The exhibition not only provided a platform for artistic dialogue and mutual appreciation but also served as a testament to the enduring bonds between the academic communities of IUS and Haci Bayram Veli University. The collective exhibition at the IUS Art Gallery will be on display from April 15 to April 25, 2024.
