Exhibition “Fragments” by Berkay Göçer
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the IUS Art Gallery organized an exhibition titled "Fragments" by acclaimed artist Berkay Göçer from Turkiye. Through a captivating collection of photographs, Göçer invites viewers to explore the complexities of human experience and explore the interconnectedness of life's fragments.
In our quest to comprehend life, our eyes constantly dissect reality into manageable pieces. Memories, emotions, and experiences form the intricate tapestry of our existence. Yet, despite our efforts, grasping the totality of reality remains elusive. The "fragments" exhibition is a testament to this perpetual pursuit of understanding. Each photograph serves as a fragment of a larger narrative, offering a glimpse into the multifaceted nature of human life.
Göçer's photographs capture fleeting moments and fleeting emotions, reminding us that every snippet of life is part of a greater whole. Each image tells a unique story, reflecting Göçer's personal perspective and relationship with the world. Through his lens, he explores the delicate balance between inner contemplation and external interaction, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences.
Currently serving as an academician in the Photography and Video department at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Göçer continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression. His dedication to his craft and his ongoing exploration of cinema, photography, post-production, and design underscore his commitment to artistic excellence.
The "Fragments" exhibition will be on display at the IUS Art Gallery until May 31, 2024.
